St. Petersburg: Our Moment In The Sun
Ideally situated on Florida’s Gulf Coast, St. Petersburg has always garnered some attention for its tropical weather and sandy beaches. For generations, it has been a haven for tourists and retirees, and has been mostly a bedroom community for larger, nearby Tampa.
But things are changing! The city has is attracting a younger demographic, and with it lively arts, dining and entertainment scenes. St. Petersburg is believed to have more museums per capita than any other place in the world. You can walk from the Dalí Museum, to the Museum of History, to the James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art, to the Museum of Fine Arts, and so many more. Along the way enjoy St. Petersburg’s “outdoor museum” of more than 500 murals.
Don’t just take our word for it, check out a recent flurry of national press about St. Petersburg in newspapers and magazines, such as Forbes, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, & Southern Living. These articles all have one thing in common, they each tell about the resurgence of St. Petersburg as a vibrant, livable community, and explore the many aspects that contribute to making it such a special place. It seems that the rest of the world has finally noticed what we have always known!
In addition to glowing articles, St. Pete has recently received numerous accolades, such as:

Perhaps the biggest news for St. Petersburg came earlier this year when Cathie Wood announced that her firm, Ark Investments, would be leaving New York City and relocating to St. Petersburg. Not only that, but the firm will also launch the Ark Innovation Center, a talent incubator that will offer support for Tampa Bay’s entrepreneurs and tech startups, and aims to attract top talent to the area.
This is really huge news, as Florida Secretary of Commerce and head of Enterprise Florida Jamal Sowell noted, “Their investment in the St. Petersburg area will have profound economic impacts in the years to come and will continue to set Florida apart as one of the top innovation destinations in the country”.
