Central Oak Park

The neighborhood of Central Oak Park is located, as its name implies, in the center of St. Petersburg.  It is bounded by 5th Avenue South to 13th Avenue North and from 34th Street (US 19) to 49th Street. Central Oak Park is just a short drive (or trolley ride) to the gulf-coast beaches or Downtown. It is adjacent to the highly in demand neighborhood of Historic Kenwood, and is in close proximity to the rapidly developing Grand Central District, with its many new bars, restaurants, microbreweries, art galleries and more. This ideal location has made Central Oak Park one of the most up-and-coming neighborhoods in the city.

The many large oak trees found throughout the neighborhood create a mature tree canopy, giving the neighborhood a park-like feel. Brick streets dating back to the 1920s add to the character and charm of the neighborhood. In Central Oak Park you will find a wide variety of home styles, ranging from 1920’s bungalows to 1950’s Ranches and a sprinkling of newly built homes. Home prices are on the rise, but are still considered affordable, and with no flood insurance required, these homes are perfect for many first time home buyers.

Central Oak Park Neighborhood is fortunate to be home to several parks, with many more just a short walk or drive away.
